Honest limits
- It does not jump-start a car. It charges the battery; that takes time.
- 12V only. Not for 6V, 24V or ternary lithium (Li-ion) batteries.
- Pulse repair helps with light sulfation; it cannot fix a battery with a dead cell or physical damage.
What does Pulse repair do?
It is a mode for batteries with light sulfation from sitting. It can help them take a charge again; it cannot fix a battery with a dead cell or physical damage.
Is it safe if I mix up the clamps?
It has reverse polarity protection, plus short circuit, overcurrent, overvoltage and overheat protection, and the clamps are spark-resistant. Still connect red to positive and black to negative.
Will it work on my car?
It is for 12V batteries: standard lead-acid, AGM and LiFePO4. Almost every passenger car, SUV and pickup uses a 12V battery.
Can I leave it connected all winter?
Yes. After a full charge it switches to maintaining. Check on it now and then, as with any charger.
Does it work on 6V or 24V?
No. 12V only.
Will it charge a completely dead battery?
It can recover deeply discharged batteries that are still healthy. A battery with a shorted cell will not hold charge and needs replacing.
How big is it?
